On the official booklet of Brave Enough, Stirling explained that every song represents a step "a step that has taken me from being a heartbroken lost girl, wishing for bravery, to a woman who is ready to answer the call of something wild."
About Don't Let This Feeling Fade, Stirling stated:
"If we are too focused on the destination, we miss the joy of the journey. We forfeit the beauty in making memories and building relationships. Running through life with tunnel vision may get us to our goods, but we will most likely get there alone. Celebrate the moments."
